Chapter 3

Sans had a hopeful look again as he (finally) saw you.
"OH MY GOD!!" he shouted. Then he whispered to Papyrus, "Is... is that a human?"
Papyrus whispered, "Yes."
Sans began to shout again. He had the stars in his eyes and he was blushing a lot again. "OH MY GOD!! PAPYRUS! I FINALLY DID IT! ALPHYS WILL... I'M GONNA... I'LL BE SO... POPULAR! POPULAR! POPULAR!"

He cleared his throat. "Human! You shall not pass this area! I, the Great Sans, will stop you! I will then capture you! You will be delivered to the capital! THEN! Then... I'm not sure what's next." He looked adorable when he was confused and it was all you could do to keep from hugging the short skeleton.
"In any case!" Sans continued. "Continue... only if you dare! Mweh heh heh heh heh heh heh!" He walked away.

Papyrus made sure he wasn't too close and then started talking.
"Well, that went well. Don't sweat it, kid." He winked. "I'll keep an eyesocket out for ya." He walked away. You waited a minute. Then you followed. When you saw Papyrus again, he was talking to Sans. Out on the ground in front of you was a square that was two times wide as you were tall where some snow was cleared. You heard Sans scolding Papyrus while Papyrus looked like he didn't care. You heard Sans call Papyrus lazy for 'napping all night'.
"Uh, I think that's called 'sleeping'," said Papyrus. Sans yelled at him more. He sounded so adorable then that you giggled a little bit. Sans turned to face you.

"Oh-ho! The human arrives!" Sans had the tiniest stars forming in his eyes again. "In order to stop you, my brother and I have created some puzzles!"
You looked at the clearing again. It didn't look puzzle-ish at all. "This is the invisible electricity maze! When you touch the walls of this maze, this orb will administer a hearty zap!" Sans pulled out a blue orb from behind his back and held it up.

"Sounds like fun," he continued. "Because the amount of fun you will have is actually rather small I think. Ok, go on ahead now." You walked towards the maze with your eyes glued to the ground. Then, a sound came from the other side. You looked up. Sans was zapped with his own puzzle. He brushed off some- well stuff- off himself, then turned to face Papyrus.

"Papyrus! What did you do!" He yelled. "uh, I think the human has to hold the orb," Papyrus said. Sans walked over to you through the maze, in a specific pattern making sure he wasn't zapped again. He gently placed the orb on top of your head. "There," he said. "Try now."

You walked through the maze, being sure to place your feet in his tiny footprints. He didn't notice the footprints. "Incredible! You slippery snail!" Sans said. "You solved it so easily. Too easily." He glared at no one or nothing in particular. "However! The next puzzle will not be as easy! It is designed by my brother, Papyrus! You will surely be confounded! Mweh heh heh heh heh heh!" He slid away.

You encountered many other puzzles like that, with Papyrus's being lazy, like a word search or a crossword puzzle. Soon enough as you kept walking in the same direction, you reached a town. Its banner was large and welcoming, and wore the words 'WELCOME TO SNOWDIN TOWN'. You found many places there: a shop, where you bought sweet-smelling food. An inn where you didn't stay because you couldn't really afford to. A library called a 'librarby'. A restaurant. And, a house. You didn't see any other houses in this town. Next to it was a mailbox and a stuffed mailbox.

You walked past the house and came upon an oddly foggy area.
